Barclays took the honour of ‘Fastest Firm in the City’ for the sixth time, in a rapid 53:05, and donated the prize of £5,000 to their nominated charity, Richard House Children's Hospice.
Competing fiercely for first place were J.P. Morgan and Credit Suisse coming in just behind Barclays in a time of 54:31 and 55:46 respectively. Individually, the fastest runner Andrew Lawrence, from Team Barclays, completed the one-mile route in an incredible time of 4:48.
Nike UK & Ireland were the inaugural winners of the Fastest Mixed Team award, with a time of 58:22 and won a team Biomechanical Analysis session courtesy of race Fitness Partner Technogym.
The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay takes place in seven cities across the world, including London, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Sydney and New York, with further cities to be added in 2017. The baton is now being handed to Singapore who race on 27th October, so challenge your international counterparts and see who can run their city the fastest!
